The Aharon Time Delay Relay is a specialized 12V 30A solution designed to solve "hard start" issues, voltage surges, and signal chatter. By introducing a consistent 10-second delay upon receiving power, it ensures your power source stabilizes and the engine finishes cranking before downstream accessories engage.Key Technical Insights:"Delay-On" Logic: The 12V trigger signal (Pin 86) must remain constant for the full 10 seconds before power switches to Pin 87. If power is removed, the timer resets immediately.Size & Fit: This relay is taller than standard automotive relays. Please check your fuse box clearance before installation.Polarity Sensitive: Due to the internal electronic timer, Pin 85 MUST go to Ground and Pin 86 to the 12V Trigger. Swapping them will prevent operation.Wiring Configuration:Pin 30: Constant 12V (Battery)Pin 85: Ground (Negative)Pin 86: 12V Switched TriggerPin 87: Delayed 12V Output (Normally Open)Pin 87a: Immediate 12V Output (Cuts off after 10s delay)Common Applications:Automotive: Protects HID/Xenon systems from startup surges and prevents LED light bars from flickering during engine cranking.Heavy Machinery: Delays high-capacity radiator fans on forklifts during ignition, reducing initial starter motor load.Fluid Management: Eliminates solenoid "chatter" and rapid cycling on Reverse Osmosis (RO) water filters caused by water ripples across float switches.Diesel & Marine: Delays fuel pumps or compressors so glow plugs can warm up without battery drain, and silences marine oil pressure alarms during startup.
