Black Onyx Ladies Ring Sterling Silver

This elegant Sterling Silver, rectangular, cabochon cut black Onyx ring features an ornate bezel setting and a minimalist half-round band.  

Onyx has a hardness of 7 and is a member of the Quartz family.  Onyx comes in a variety of colors.  How Onyx gets its color depends on the specific impurities that are found in that particular piece of Onyx.  Black Onyx is typically made by dying gray Chalcedony.
