Our own Coral Frag 3 Pack, Blue Edition Various sp., offers hobbyists a way to enhance their reef aquarium with a collection of premium coral frag specimens. Adding visual interest, movement, and beauty to your home aquarium, they have a moderate care level and are semi-aggressive. All three corals benefit from moderate lighting and a medium to strong waterflow.

Included in this premium 3-pack are:

Blue Sympodium Polyp

The Blue Sympodium Polyp Sympodium sp. is a soft coral with an encrusting formation that is a newcomer to the aquarium industry. It has a blue base, green tentacles, and a blue center that resembles a mass of colorful low-growing flowers. Place the frag in the middle or bottom level of your aquarium with room between it and any other coral.

Blue Xenia Frag

The Blue Xenia Coral Cespitularia sp. grows in a branching formation, is blue to tan in color and has longer elegant polyps that sway with the water flow in your aquarium. Because of their healthy growth rate, you will want to be sure to place them in your tank where they will have plenty of room between them and any other coral.

Colony Polyp, assorted

You will receive one of our assorted Colony Polyps Zoanthus sp. The individual polyps of this variety are very small when mature and offer a variety of texture for the reef aquarium. They are brown with shades of pink tones and will brighten or darken depending on the lighting in the aquarium. These corals are an excellent choice for beginner reef aquarists. Place at the top or middle level of your aquarium with room between it and any other coral.

The ideal environment for these aquacultured coral frags is an established reef aquarium with coral friendly fish and invertebrates. Water temperatures should be maintained at 72°-78° F, pH levels of 8.1-8.4, a dKH level of between 8-12, and salinity within the range of 1.022-1.025. They require the addition of supplemental calcium, strontium, magnesium, iodine, and other trace elements to the water. Aquacultured corals reduce the impact of natural collection, and because they are grown in captivity, are accustomed to a home aquarium.

The symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within each coral’s body provide the majority of their nutritional requirements from the algae's light driven process of photosynthesis but will benefit from the addition of foods designed for corals and invertebrates.
