Kajak Sport Round hatch cover 25cm

Kajak-Sport original hatch cover series is made of real rubber. This model is the only style Kajak-Sport recommends for roto-molded PE kayaks, and it is the most universal for composite (i.e. fiberglass) kayaks. This is Kayak Sport's driest hatch cover solution and is created for the most demanding "expedition" use, when the cover is used in rough conditions and when the maximum reliability is essential (e.g. surfing and practicing rolling).

For composite (fiberglass) and thermo-formed kayaks only (these kayaks have black Kajak-Sport ABS plastic hatch rims), Original Rubber Hatch Covers may be replaced with Kajak-Sport Click-on covers of the same size. However, for roto-molded PE kayaks the Original Rubber Hatch Covers is the best and often the only style that fits well.

Kayak brands that use Kajak-Sport hatches include: P&H, TideRace, CD, Eddyline, NDK (except the day hatch which uses a Valley cover GO-TO the "Valley Hatch Cover VCP Round" item), Tahe, Rebel, Zegul, Rockpool, and late model fiberglass WS Tempests (not roto-molded Tempests).

The Round Original Rubber series hatch covers are available in four sizes, but the 10cm size is so rarely used (sometimes as an access port to rudder mechanism) that you need to call us for that one.

The Day Box Low is a kit to add a "4th Hatch" in front of your cockpit. Use a 6" hole saw or a saber-saw to cut the hole in the deck for the box (kayak deck must have a flat spot). Assemble by screwing the rim together with the box - "O"-rings make a seal. Uses 15cm hatch cover - not included. Most newer P&H Sea Kayaks come with this box standard.
