Paul Components cranks take advantage of the narrower chain stays found on road frames, and the 44mm chainline of Paul Components High Flange hubs.
These cranks use a specially designed interlocking chain ring/crank interface. Four 7075 aluminium chain ring bolts with T25 Torx heads bolt through the chain ring and into the reinforced spider on the crank arm.
The crank arms are machined from 2024 aluminium, a very strong and stiff material and are available with 165mm arms.
The chain rings are machined out of 6.3mm thick aluminium plate; very sturdy. Wider teeth designed only to work with 1⁄8” chains which prolongs their life span.
