Extremely rare Feuerhand 225 Medium hurricane lantern, made in Germany, complete with its original (faintly marked) globe and in good working condition.
This model appears only very occasionally. It is slightly larger than the Feuerhand 175, with a larger tank capacity and a more robust overall build. The lantern is in solid, functional condition and a fine example of this scarce pre‑war model.
The Feuerhand 225 Medium was produced for only a short period—1937 to 1942—which explains its rarity.
A special detail: the text “Patented in India” is stamped into the globe‑holder ring, suggesting that this model was likely exported to the Indian market at the time.
It includes the original glass, though the marking has unfortunately faded significantly. The lantern shows normal signs of age and use—please refer to the photos.
Perfect as a striking addition to any Feuerhand or hurricane lantern collection, but also fully suitable for practical use at home, in the garden, or on holiday.
